Outdoor units and storm season
You do not need to wrap the condenser like a present. You do need to keep the yard from becoming a projectile pile.
Do not wrap the condenser in a tarp and walk away. Units need to breathe, and a soaked tarp becomes a sail.
Clear the chairs, toys, and loose lumber from around the pad. After the storm, look for a unit that leaned or a disconnect that filled with water. Then call. Do not start it if the pad is sitting in a pond.
